Make-up meeting, is it something special?

And I see our shoutbox got eaten for some reason...

Yep, shoutbox gone... well, RIP, shouty ...

Looks like this meeting starts midnight my time (and not 11pm as usual ...), so I don't think I'll stay awake so long. Gonna get my info of the summary then ...

pfff i hate this but i cant join these meetings cuz they are really late for me. I will take a huge exam after high school that will give me a point to get in an university. So i get up so early start studing and should go bed early too. But after that exam (june 14th) you can be sure that i will be online more then 6 hours.

The problem with this idea is that someone would have to put some effort into it and cut out the fragments, that are not essential. I took part in a group designing a new internet strategy for one of the major law firms. One of the consultants recorded the meetings. I couldn't force myself to listen to the unedited version, because it was unbelievably boring. Once you take part in the discussion you don't get that feeling, but when you listen to it afterwards... it's just unbearable.

Anyway I can record it and host it on a server with unlimited transfer capabilities if you like.

Regards,
Kalantris

Offtopic: I feel honoured by your proposition. I will fulfill any assignments I am required to by the guild. My kind request was only to give me a chance to catch my breath after years of leadership and to place me in a position, where I can simply follow orders.

Back to topic: Perhaps it is in some software's capabilities to record only one user instead of everyone? This might be as problematic as cutting everyone out though, as Stew probably answers a lot of questions. Recording Stew himself might sound like that:

Stew: Yes, we definitely should focus on reorganising the divisions to ensure maximum efficiency.
Stew: Indeed, you are correct. We need to discuss it on our next meeting, Aeterne.

Well i must say your posts Kalantris are very intresting. And the most important, your posts are with SENSE.
As i said its good idea to record meetings, because some guys cant be there at this time ( like me, especially now when we have summer time).

As far as I can remember the newest Ventrilo version had this record function. It didn't record to .wav or .mp3, but rather in ventrilo-specific files. It would play the conversation as it happened, showing who said what when. Now IF I'm right you were able to play just the mumblings of one person only, leaving all the others muted.

However that new ventrilo version has that darn 8 people limit.

I'd say screw the fragments that aren't essential. They still get the overall point of the meeting. lol

anyway how you do it, it will be wrong in a way. if you cut to much people wont understand a thing, and if you don't cut away anything no one will bother, so i for one think it is better if a person on the meeting writes a short summary. it makes a lot more sense and it is less work than editing a whole voice-meeting.

sorry for being so negative:P

there's a fine line between not listening and not caring, and i like to think i walk that line every day tucker.
